For the past 21 years, Benecaid has been an innovator in the Canadian health benefits market. The company has evolved over time and has seen substantial growth over the past seven years through the introduction of new products and services and our digital insurance platform, Honeybee.

Over the past seven years, Peter Berczi has proudly led the Benecaid team, currently 75 strong, through many changes.  We want to inform you that Peter has decided to move on from his role as President of Benecaid. Peter will be with us until July 2, 2021, and will continue with us in an advisory role beyond that. We are glad that Peter is not going far and look forward to his service to Benecaid well into the future.

This news has given us the opportunity to make way for the next generation of leaders – the team that will take Benecaid to the next level. With this in mind, we are incredibly excited to announce that effective June 28, 2021, Darren Sacks will take the position of President of Benecaid.

Darren brings over 20 years of insurance experience to the role. During his six-year tenure at Benecaid, he has led almost every part of the business, and when combined with his prior experience in the MGA markets as well as running an independent brokerage, he is the ideal leader for Benecaid with many new ideas for its evolution.

It is an exciting time at Benecaid and the best is yet to come.
